Bredhurst CE Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced, committed and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of part-time Teaching Assistant on a temporary contract ending 31 July 2023. The hours of work will be 8.30am - 1.30pm (25 hours per week) Monday to Friday, including a lunchtime supervisory role. The successful candidate will be required to support children during learning activities within the classroom environment and outside in the wider learning environment.

You need to be able to develop ideas from the class teacher and be able to both work under the direction of the teacher and on your own initiative.

If you are a hardworking and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with high expectations, are adaptable and able to work as part of a team and have a commitment to excellence in attainment and progress then we would love to hear from you.

We offer good relationships with parents, supportive governors and a strong commitment to continuing professional development. Our children are well-behaved, polite, enthusiastic and keen to be inspired to make progress in their learning.

If you think you would like to join our team of hardworking, committed staff to bring the best possible standards of education and pastoral care to children within a friendly and supportive community then please contact the school to arrange a visit.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students. You are advised that this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Ace 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and therefore this post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Information about the school

Bredhurst CE Primary is a village school, proud of the strengths that arise from its small nature. We were judged outstanding by Ofsted (December 2011) with a reputation for high standards of achievement, pastoral care, teaching and learning. The school roll is currently 130 pupils spread over mixed age classes. Due to the size of the school, team work is very important. The school is always heavily oversubscribed and we are very much at the heart of our community, working closely with the local Church.
