Mr Tickner (a policeman) and a colleague brought along a police car to show to Fir Tree class as part of their topic. They had a talk and were able to try on some uniform items. Other classes were also able to see the car and hear about life in the police force.
"The police talked to us and let us wear special clothes. I wore a hat and a coat. They showed us a red thing that they use to break down doors when bad guys are hiding."

"They let us wear some of their protective clothes. I wore a big thick winter coat. He had a shield to protect him. The car has a very loud siren. It is so that all the cars know to get out of the way."
