Mini Youth Games

At Bredhurst this year, we have entered the Mini Youth Games (MYG) which is a competition and sports participation series available to all Medway primary schools and Kent primary schools. There are ten events, Hockey, Basketball, Badminton, Swimming, Table Tennis, Netball, Tag Rugby, football, Kwik Cricket, Athletics and each competition is primarily available to children in year 5 and 6. The games have been running for over 20 years with around 4000 primary school children taking part in the series every year. Prizes and a fair play trophy are awarded at each event. 

 

Cross Country

The Primary Schools Cross Country Event is a series of 5 races for Years 4 - 6, divided into boys and girls separately. This is a 2KM terrain race (1KM for Yr4's). All children will wear an electronic ankle tag and the first 3 places will be recorded for placing. These will take place at various venues from November - March. The first 3 individual places at each event will be given a medal, along with a small trophy for the winning year group. At the end of the series the overall individueal and the winning school will recive a trophy. All children that sign up to take place must be available for all 5 races.
