28/2/21

Good afternoon Year 2,

We had a fantastic first week back after half term so well done to you all! One more week of learning like this and we will all be back together! Mrs Fisher and I cannot wait!

Thank you to those who sent their Blackbeard character profiles in, Mrs Green will be sending you feedback for this at the beginning of the week.

Parents, please feel free to email us any other bits of work as we love to see how the children are getting on, but do not feel under pressure. We know you are all trying your best at home and that is all we can ask.

We will be continuing to deliver our live sessions and we will still be doing a mixture of Phonics and English.  Please see the timetable below-

 Monday at 10.30 Phonics

Tuesday at 10.30 Phonics

Wednesday at 10:30 Shorter phonics and English

Thursday at 10.30 English

Friday at 10.30 English

The work for the week is in the Week 8 folder.  If you find the document named, 'Week 8 2021 Plan' first as this sets out the work for the week.  Any additional resources that you may need will be indicated on the plan and can be found in the same Week 8 folder. Please try to follow the lessons for each day so that we are all at the same point for the live sessions.

As a school, we are all taking part in a PE Active Lives survey online conducted by Sports England. In the week 8 folder, you find a letter telling you about the survey, information on how to complete the survey with a unique link that will take you to the online survey and a privacy policy. If you do not wish for your child to take part in this survey, please let Mrs Green know.

Year 1 you will need to continue to follow the plans that Mrs Harvey has put on the Fir Tree page as she will be teaching all of Year 1.

Do not forget you can still use your Big Cat logins to access reading books whilst you are at home. It is very important to try and read 10-15 minutes a day.

We look forward to seeing you next week,

Mrs Fisher and Mrs Green

If you need to contact us please use the email addresses below and send to both of us,

Thank you.

English - Fir Tree and Forge classes have decided to give feedback on the writing tasks that are set each week - once the work has been completed (Friday). Please can you email your writing task by Friday @ 3.00pm.

We will mark this piece of writing and return feedback to you and your child before the end of the following week. We will monitor this each week and we are hoping this will help your child to improve their writing by adding the appropriate writing features. For this task, please let your child work independently and send us what they have produced.
